Do you want to feel like a Redbull with wings and have eternal vitality? Well, keep reading so you can understand how this divine machine called human body works and what can you do to preserve its power and balance.

“I'm not the mistakes that I have made Or any of the things that caused me pain I am not the pieces of the dream I left behind I am light, I am light”….
India Arie
…Those lyrics from a beautiful song by India Arie resonate quite often in my head and remind me that we are all energy connected to the Universe. This energy is affected by our external and internal world. From a holistic point of view, vital energy is the basis to remain healthy and balanced. When there is a lack of vital energy, our health gets compromised. Our vital energy has a few pillars, which we could divide into two big groups. They are in continuous interchange and intertwine, affecting one another.
External pillars
Nutrition.
Contact with nature (exposure to sun, water, air, the animal kingdom, plant kingdom, etc.).
Environment (contamination).
Relationships (family, friends, partners, work, etc.).
Financial stability.
Internal pillars
Self-care (fitness, regular exercising).
Sleep and rest patterns.
Circadian Biorhythms.
Emotional balance (positive thinking, philosophy of life, respecting our self- nature, internal coherence, the purpose of life, passions, hobbies, etc…).
Spiritual practice.
Health is a natural state of the human being maintained by our vital energy and harmony with the law of nature.
Any deviation from these basics gives way to illness. Being healthy is the absence of symptoms of any physical and mental malfunctioning. We shouldn’t forget that being healthy also means that our body can efficiently react to external aggressions.
When we break the flow of our natural self, we start to use our vital energy to neutralize the situations or elements that are not in harmony with our essence we begin to create resistance, which provokes physical or mental symptoms. These symptoms are our bodies natural defence system to re-establish their lost balance. There are two ways in which crisis or symptoms occur in our bodies:
1. Due to the high level of toxicity:
Every human body has a natural threshold of toxicity. If the toxins in our body overcome this threshold, the body will express it through a symptom or illness to reduce the toxicity and keep it below our natural threshold.
2. Due to the extra injection of vital energy:
Have you ever heard about cases of people, who after working all their life with a high level of stress, got ill when they retired? Or has it ever happened to you that you got sick in times of holidays, after a stressful period at work? Well, that happens when you get extra rest, which gives the body vital energy. Your body uses that energy for the process of elimination of accumulated toxins. Anything that brings extra vital energy (positive change in your sleeping patterns, diet, relationships, environment, mental scheme, and other elements mentioned in the section about pillars of our health) to a body, will trigger this reaction of detoxification. The intensity and duration of that process depend on the level of toxicity accumulated in our body.
Every symptom should, therefore, be as welcome as salvation. And should not be suppressed by medication or natural remedy.
Remedies should be applied wisely. They should be used only when they support the detox and where there is a need to reduce mental or physical stress (pain, very high life-threatening fever, etc.). The repertoire of detoxing symptoms includes fever (sweat), colds, flu, chest and sinuses congestions (eliminating through fluids), vomiting, diarrhoea, etc. However, we must not forget all the emotional symptoms like anger, anxiety, depression, sadness, etc.
If we are lucky and we have high sensibility, we get those symptoms early enough before they develop into an illness. We have called that “positive somatic reactivity”. We should learn to listen to these small warnings so, we can quickly correct the life habits that are not in harmony with our natural self and that way we can preserve our health.
Unfortunately, in our modern society, we are not taught to have the ability to listen to our bodies. Most of the time we continue with the same habits, situations, and elements that in the end trigger enervation and finally the burnout of our vital energy, leaving us without the tools to face external and internal toxins.

Modern or allopathic medicine has its principles based on the suppression of symptoms and providing fast relief, which creates a vicious circle of illness that never results in healing and puts us on the path of chronic disease. We should embrace our symptoms and understand that symptoms are the body’s way of reducing toxicity and maintaining the balance of all necessary vital functions. For that reason, any medical-curative or alternative-curative system based on suppressing symptoms is inadequate and ineffective. The human body can heal itself in optimal conditions but is necessary to mention that in our modern world it is quite a challenge to obtain those optimal conditions due to the high level of environmental toxicity and the unnatural modern lifestyle.
But that doesn´t mean that we should not challenge those obstacles and always seek to balance ourselves with our environment. The combination of healthy lifestyle habits like natural organic nutrition, regular exercising and contact with nature, exposure to sunlight, good quality of sleep, mindfulness and spirituality, positive thinking, love, and gratitude are the elements that help us reduce the impact of external pollution and keep us healthy and vibrant.
